by Month9books/Tantrum Books! And surprise this week we have 3
titles for you!

Today, we will be showcasing three titles that will tickle
your fancy, and we’ll share what readers have to say about these titles!

This week, #T4T presents to you:

Title: Dead Jed: Adventures of a Middle School Zombie
Author: Scott Craven
Pub. Date: October 1, 2013
Publisher: Month9Books, LLC.
Pages: 214
Formats: Paperback, eBook, audiobook

Find it: Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble | iBooks

Dead Jed is Shaun of the Dead meets Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Jed's not your typical junior high geek. He is, to use the politically-correct
term, cardiovascularly-challenged. And while his parents have attempted to
shield him from the implications of being 'different' for as long as they could
(Jed was 8 and at a friend's sister's birthday party when he blew his lips off
onto the cake in front of everyone, finally prompting the “Big Talk” from his
parents and an emergency SuperGlue repair by his dad), 7th grade at Pine Hollow
Middle School as a target of Robbie the supreme school bully and his pack of
moronic toadies is rapidly becoming unbearable.

From being stuffed in a filled trash can as “dead meat” and
into a trophy case as the bully's “prize,” to literally having his hand pulled
off in the boys' room (Jed's always losing body parts. Luckily, a good stapler
and some duct tape and he's back in the action) and a cigarette put in it and
try to frame him for the recent reports of smoking in the school, Jed's had
enough and is ready to plan his revenge. Besides, it's awesome what you can do
when you're already dead!

Title: Dead Jed 2: Dawn of the Jed
Author: Scott Craven
Publication date: December 9, 2014
Publisher: Month9Books, LLC.
Pages: 266
Formats: Paperback, eBook, audiobook

As the fall semester ends and kids head home on for winter
break, Jed and his parents gather for the annual exchanging of gift lists. Once
again, Jed asks for a dog, leading to a heated argument and a firm
"no." But when Jed spots a stray, he chases it until the dog darts
into the street where it is struck and killed by a car. Grief stricken by what
he's done, Jed cradles the dead dog in his arms. Soon, ooze from the dog mixes
with tear drops from Jed, creating Tread the zombie dog. Finally getting his
wish, Jed must convince his parents to let him keep the undead dog. But a
zombie dog turns out to be the least of Jed's issues. Seems some parents don't
want Jed attending school with their kids. Enter the mysterious NZN Network.
They've been distributing anti-zombie propaganda in an effort to get Jed
expelled. But Jed wonders if the creation of Tread has caused his relationship
with Luke to sour. And why, just as he seems to need them the most, his best
friends have abandoned him? Could they have bought in to the anti-zombie way of
thinking? Was creating Tread a mistake Jed will live to regret? When Tread goes
missing, and with his very existence at stake, Jed must rely on his instincts,
team up with an old nemesis an fight for his right to have just as miserable a
middle school existence as any other student - undead or alive.

Title: Dead Jed 3: Return of the Jed
Author: Scott Craven
Publication date: December 15, 2015
Publisher: Month9Books, LLC.
Pages: 266
Formats: Paperback, eBook, audiobook

With seventh grade behind him, Jed jumps at the opportunity
to spend the summer in Mexico with his dad. But there's just one catch: Luke
and Tread get to tag along.

In Mexico, fitting inmight be easier than Jed imagined,
with Holidays such as Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Here, a rising
8th grade zombie boy and his zombie dog won't draw that much attention.

But then Tread unwittingly sets off Mexico’s Chupacabra
Defense Network and Jed accidentally collides with a bus. So much for blending
in. The unusual pair catch the eye of a professional wrestler, who challenges
Jed to a fight!

Their antics manage to capture the attention of a doctor
whose knowledge of the undead causes Jed to question his very existence. Is
this the answer Jed's been hoping for since his parents sat him down for the
"you're a zombie" talk? Jed may have finally found a way to be
normal, but at what cost?

Dead Jed: Return of the Jed is book 3 in Scott Craven's
humorous and heartwarming series about surviving middle school, fitting in, and
embracing one's differences - even if you are a zombie.

Praise for the Dead Jed Series:

“Hilarious adventures of a zombie teen who navigates the jungle known as middle school,
this is one story that will resonate with readers.”  —YA Books Central

"If you know a middle-grader who loves to laugh or sometimes feels out of place and needs

some reassurance to be true to him/herself, this series is a must.."~ Dorothy
Dreyer author of the Reaper’s Rite Series.

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING:

" Like its predecessor Dead Jed, Dead Jed 2: Dawn of the Jed is an incredibly cute and fun read! Aimed at middle graders, it’s filled with child-sized humor, puns, and adventure."

" This story is a light fun read which will have you laughing in seconds.
It is unique and quirky, where Zombie triumphs over evil. GO ZOMBIES! Wahoo!"

My love of zombie movies arrived long before my love for
writing. I was 10 when I saw a girl about the same age sink her teeth into her
father, a scene that hooked me on “Night of the Living Dead” and one the genre
as a whole. I would embrace writing much later, but it has had a much more lasting
impact. After graduating from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo, I packed the back of my
Datsun B-210 and headed to Colorado, relying on the $600 my parents gave me as
I walked out the door (“We don’t think this is the smartest move,” my father
said as he handed me the cash, “but we’ll always be there for you.”) Over the
next 35 years as a newspaper reporter, I would cover sports, crime, courts,
travel and much more. I’ve spent nearly 30 of those years in Phoenix, and am
now a features reporter at The Arizona Republic. My 18-year-old son Bryson has
turned out to be a pretty cool kid, even though he dislikes reading and
writing. When it comes time for him to find his own path, I may not think it’s
the smartest move, but I will always be there for him.

M9B TWO FOR THURSDAY BLITZ: Serpentine by Cindy Pon & Nameless by Jennifer Jenkins + GIVEAWAY!

Welcome to this week’s Two for Thursday! #T4T
presented by Month9books/Tantrum Books!

Today, we will be showcasing two titles that will tickle your fancy,
and we’ll share what readers have to say about these titles!

You just might find your next read!

This week, #T4T presents to you:

SERPENTINE is a sweeping fantasy set in the ancient Kingdom
of Xia and inspired by the rich history of Chinese mythology.

Lush with details from Chinese folklore, SERPENTINE tells
the coming of age story of Skybright, a young girl who worries about her
growing otherness. As she turns sixteen, Skybright notices troubling changes.
By day, she is a companion and handmaid to the youngest daughter of a very
wealthy family. But nighttime brings with it a darkness that not even daybreak
can quell.

When her plight can no longer be denied, Skybright learns
that despite a dark destiny, she must struggle to retain her sense of self –
even as she falls in love for the first time.

“Vivid worldbuilding,
incendiary romance, heart-pounding action, and characters that will win you
over–I highly recommend Serpentine.” Cinda Williams Chima, best-selling author
of the Seven Realms and Heir Chronicles fantasy novels

“Serpentine is unique
and surprising, with a beautifully-drawn fantasy world that sucked me right in!
I love Skybright’s transformative power, and how she learns to take charge of
it.” ~Kristin Cashore, NYT Bestseller of the Graceling Realm Series

“Serpentine’s world
oozes with lush details and rich lore, and the characters crackle with life.
This is one story that you’ll want to lose yourself in.” ~ Marie Lu, New York
Times bestselling author of Legend and The Young Elites

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING:

"Serpentine is a beautifully written, diverse book with
a unique mythology that isn't common place in YA books, which is sad to say. We
need more books like this one."~ Katie

"Cindy introduces us to a story that is steeped in
Chinese mythology. For me, that was a refreshing break from the Greco-Roman and
Egyptian mythologies I studied in school. Although, the world-building was
something new to me, the story itself was very familiar. SERPENTINE is a
journey of discovery -- discovering who you are and how you fit into a destiny.
That's a plot I will never get tired of reading, especially since Cindy
presents it so well." ~ Sophie

"Cindy Pon captures your imagination with beautifully
written world building and freshly dynamic characters. You will find yourself
completely engulfed in this world of Chinese mythology and fascinating
worlds." ~ Reading

Four clans have been at war for centuries: the Kodiak, the
Raven, the Wolf and the Ram. Through brutal war tactics, the Ram have dominated
the region, inflicting death and destruction on their neighbors.
Seventeen-year-old Zo is a Wolf and a Healer who volunteers to infiltrate the
Ram as a spy on behalf of the allied clans. She offers herself as a Ram slave,
joining the people who are called the “nameless.” Hers is a suicide mission –
Zo’s despair after losing her parents in a Ram raid has left her seeking both
revenge and an end to her own misery. But after her younger sister follows her
into Rams Gate, Zo must find a way to survive her dangerous mission and keep
her sister safe. What she doesn’t expect to find is the friendship of a young
Ram whose life she saves, the confusing feelings she develops for a Ram
soldier, and an underground nameless insurrection. Zo learns that revenge,
loyalty and love are more complicated than she ever imagined in the first
installment of this two-book series.

WHAT READERS ARE SAYING:

"Wow....WOW, WOW,
WOW! I have no words to describe how much I love this book. Jenkins writes
characters who are just so easy to love, and when you love a character it makes
the book so much better. And I loved all the characters. Zo, Tess, Joshua and
Gryphon. Gryphon is definitely my favorite - but who wouldn't love Gryphon? Of
course I do have a soft spot for our heroine, Zo." ~Bri,

"Nameless
destroyed me in the best way possible. The romance was subtle, but written
beautifully. The plot was very intriguing and the pacing was spot on. I loved
the entire cast of characters, every single one of them added to the story.
Trust me when I say you should preorder it, add it to your TBR, request it from
your library, do whatever you have to do to get this book in your hands because
if you are a YA fantasy fan like me you need this book in your life!" ~Bridget,

"NAMELESS is epic
storytelling at its best. My mind is still reeling from the world that I have
just been immersed in and I don't want to leave it. Can I please have the
sequel NOW? Because I need to know what happens next but in the meantime I'm
just going to re-read it again and again. Is it that good, you may ask? Hell
yes!!! And you will think so too. Trust me." Nancy,

"To say that I
love this book is an understatement. It completely blew me away! I am so happy
that I took a chance on it. NAMELESS is one book that you can re-read over and
over again and it will still feel fresh! I cannot wait for the world to read it
and fall under the NAMELESS spell. Because that’s what I feel like I am under,
a spell that has me trapped in Zo's world and won’t let me out! I don’t want
out!"~Damaris,

"Wow this one was
addictive!! For fans of An Ember in the Ashes, Under the Never Sky, and The
Winner's Curse, Nameless captured my attention and held it until the very end.
Quick read. Slowburn romance. Great world-buildling. Awesome plot." ~ Rachel

"From the start
of the story until the very last page, Jennifer Jenkins took me on an emotional
ride. Through action, and heartbreak, and healing and relationships forming out
of hatred and mistrust, she has created a story of hope and faith and choosing
how you want to live your life, and the beliefs that you want to hold,
regardless of others around you." ~ Jaime

"Fantasy fans, do
not miss out on this epic new series. It's got everything that you could ever
possibly want out of a all-consuming fantasy book: fierce characters, twisty
plot, stunning world building, captivating prose and my favorite, a romance
that will make you want to shout out your love for the couple at the top of
your lungs. Do yourself a favor, and buy this book right away." Nick,

"Electrifying and
intense and instantly and completely captivating, NAMELESS is one of those
reads that will make you race through the pages to find out what’s going to
happen next. With a fascinating new world to discover, one that is primitive,
harsh, brutal, and intriguing new characters to meet who are fierce and
determined and deadly, some of whom are cruel and others who are compassionate,
you will be immediately pulled into the story and you’ll never want the journey
to end." ~ Rachel
