Title: Pantomime
Author: Laura Lam
Year Published: 2013
Synopsis: R. H. Ragona’s Circus of Magic is the greatest circus of Ellada. Nestled among the glowing blue Penglass—remnants of a mysterious civilisation long gone—are wonders beyond the wildest imagination. It’s a place where anything seems possible, where if you close your eyes you can believe that the magic and knowledge of the vanished Chimaera is still there. It’s a place where anyone can hide.
Iphigenia Laurus, or Gene, the daughter of a noble family, is uncomfortable in corsets and crinoline, and prefers climbing trees to debutante balls. Micah Grey, a runaway living on the streets, joins the circus as an aerialist’s apprentice and soon becomes the circus’s rising star.
But Gene and Micah have balancing acts of their own to perform, and a secret in their blood that could unlock the mysteries of Ellada.

The Lion Tamer :)
ReplyDelete-Danielle @ Coffee and Characters
I'm always surprised at how well the lions are always trained, cats are the hardest animals to get to do anything on command and they manage to tame BIG cats! Props to them.
DeleteCotton candy ;)
ReplyDeleteI turn into such a little kid whenever cotton candy is involved... good choice! ;)
DeleteI love the trapeze artists! Thanks for this amazing giveaway - I would love to win!
ReplyDeleteI'm always so scared for the trapeze artists, I'm always afraid they're going to fall and get hurt or something!
DeleteAnd you're very welcome, it's one of my favorite circus books! One of the MCs wants/is training to be a trapeze artist, so I bet you'd really like it too. Good luck!
I love the aerialists! Especially the Spanish Rope. It's like ballet in mid-air. :)
ReplyDeleteThe Spanish rope is SO cool, I wish I was athletic enough to even attempt it. Those people are incredible!
DeleteTrapeze artists :)
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty awesome, and definitely know how to put on a good show!
Deletethe animals
ReplyDeleteThe animals are my favorite too! :)
Deletethe animals, especially the dogs that do tricks, and the elephants
ReplyDeleteMine too! I love when they let you ride the elephants too.
DeleteThe acrobatics and aerialists!
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy how much control over their body those people have.
DeleteI wish I was that flexible.
DeleteI love the clowns.
ReplyDeleteerma2167@att.net
Clowns can be scary when they're too friendly, lol.
DeleteClowns are the most terrifying part of the circus for me. Friendly or not... I feel like they're going to kill me either way.
DeleteI love the tiger tamers!
ReplyDeleteMe too! Tigers are so pretty.
DeleteI love the trapezists!
ReplyDeleteThey're so cool.
DeleteI really enjoy the acrobats and trapeze artists - they are pretty amazing. Thank you for this mimerry run :)
ReplyDeleteYour welcome! Good luck! The high flying acrobats are so cool!
DeleteI love the animals.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the amazing giveaway!

I think the animals might be my favorite too. The elephants and the big cats!
DeleteI've always loved the tight rope walkers. Thanks for the chance to win :D
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome and good luck! Those tight rope walkers have some crazy balance skills!
DeleteThe animals, I love the elephants :) Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe elephants are really cool!
DeleteI love the animals :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
I don't think I've ever been to one, but I like the animal acts. :)
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't go to circuses. One of those anti-animals in circus people over here. :) But I do love the people - like the trapeze acts.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favourite 'cause I've only once been in a circus and I was too little to remember anything. But I'd probably like the acrobats (:
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, I'm agains the circuses that use animals.
I love the knife throwing!!:P Thanks for the awesome giveaway!!<3
