Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Goodreads

Title: Pantomime
Author: Laura Lam
Year Published: 2013

Synopsis: R. H. Ragona’s Circus of Magic is the greatest circus of Ellada. Nestled among the glowing blue Penglass—remnants of a mysterious civilisation long gone—are wonders beyond the wildest imagination. It’s a place where anything seems possible, where if you close your eyes you can believe that the magic and knowledge of the vanished Chimaera is still there. It’s a place where anyone can hide.

Iphigenia Laurus, or Gene, the daughter of a noble family, is uncomfortable in corsets and crinoline, and prefers climbing trees to debutante balls. Micah Grey, a runaway living on the streets, joins the circus as an aerialist’s apprentice and soon becomes the circus’s rising star.

But Gene and Micah have balancing acts of their own to perform, and a secret in their blood that could unlock the mysteries of Ellada.

Ashley gave Pantomime a 4/5. You can find her REVIEW HERE!!!

    1. I'm always surprised at how well the lions are always trained, cats are the hardest animals to get to do anything on command and they manage to tame BIG cats! Props to them.

    1. I'm always so scared for the trapeze artists, I'm always afraid they're going to fall and get hurt or something!

And you're very welcome, it's one of my favorite circus books! One of the MCs wants/is training to be a trapeze artist, so I bet you'd really like it too. Good luck!

    2. Clowns are the most terrifying part of the circus for me. Friendly or not... I feel like they're going to kill me either way.

  15. I honestly don't go to circuses. One of those anti-animals in circus people over here. :) But I do love the people - like the trapeze acts.

  16. I don't have a favourite 'cause I've only once been in a circus and I was too little to remember anything. But I'd probably like the acrobats (:
On a side note, I'm agains the circuses that use animals.
