Title:
Dragonfly and Dragonflyman: Volume One
Author: Tom Peyer
Artists: Peter Krause, Russ Braun, & Jamal Igle

Synopsis: On Earth-Omega, the grim vigilante called the Dragonfly seeks justice in a dark world of sadistic criminals and corrupt cops. But on Earth-Alpha, his innocent counterpart Dragonflyman faces colorful villains like The Soundmaster alongside a cheerful police department!

This volume careens like a roller-coaster from camp humor to gritty drama and back again, featuring the brutal menace of Kaktus, two versions of the tempter known as Devil Man - and the baffling mystery of Lady Dragonflyman!

A prequel to the acclaimed Ahoy Comics title The Wrong Earth, collecting all five issues of Dragonfly and Dragonflyman plus the 2019 Ahoy Free Comic Book Day story. Featuring covers by The Wrong Earth artist Jamal Igle.

Review: This is a prequel story set before these two worlds collide. There's the dark and gritty world and the fun and bright world. The parallels between the characters and stories lead to a lot of fun. Since it's closely the same story in both worlds, the different perspectives and different styles are where the entertainment lies.

I really enjoy the concept of this world. The characters have been designed well, but I liked the original crossover story much better. I give this book a 3/5. It didn't hold my interest as much as The Wrong Earth.
