Title: Rapunzel Untangled
Author: Cindy C. Bennett
Year Published: 2013

Synopsis:

Rapunzel is not your average teenager.

For one thing, she has a serious illness that keeps her inside the mysterious Gothel Mansion. And for another, her hair is 15 feet long. Not to mention that she’s also the key to ultimately saving the world from certain destruction. But then she meets a boy named Fane, who changes all she has ever known, and she decides to risk everything familiar to find out who she really is.

Filled with romance, adventure, and mystery, Rapunzel Untangled is one story you won’t want to put down. Discover the true meaning of love and friendship in this modern twist to the classic fairy tale.

Why?: I am seriously the biggest sucker for modern re-tellings of fairy tales. I love fairy tales, and I love even more when an author can take something so classic and modernize it. Plus, there's magic, mystery, adventure, and some romance!

Expectations:
I expect a modern twist on the classic Rapunzel story. Rapunzel in a tower, a crazy "mother"  who refuses to let her leave the tower, a prince who would do anything to be with her, including climbing her hair... yeah, I'm expecting all of that in one way or another. Plus maybe some added mysteries and such, because I'm not sure how you'd hide a girl in a tower in the modern world.

Judging a book by its cover: The cover is pretty much something I would expect on a book about Rapunzel. I don't think it's really anything special, but I would personally probably pick it up because of that. Again, with the being a sucker for fairy tales. I'm not sure if it would catch the eye of someone else though.
