Review: I loved Seraphina, and I was so excited to find this prequel story. I didn't realize that I wanted to know how Seraphina beat out all of the other students for the position with Viridius, but after reading this story I'm so glad that we find out!

This story is really short - only around 17 pages - but it's still really interesting. I didn't realize how much of a prankster Glisselda was, but I kind of love her all the more for it. She's pretty hilarious, and I would love to read more about her pranks and such! It was really neat learning more about her. I also really enjoyed seeing how Seraphina herself was able to think on her feet and avoid bad situations. No wonder she's the heroine of the story!

I also enjoyed learning more about Orma and Viridius. Both of them are minor characters in Seraphina, and although we learn quite a bit about them, it's always fun to see even more. Especially since this takes place before Seraphina and both are quite different than they are by the end of the book. I hope that we get to see even more of them as the story progresses.

I hope there are more stories like this one as the next book(s) are released. I love learning more about minor characters and seeing the protagonist in totally different situations! If you've read Seraphina, you won't want to pass up this story. And it's available to read for free! It's also included in the newer copies of the hardcover book (the one with the purple cover). I'd give this story a 4/5.
