Paul's March Book - A Million Suns
Title: A Million Suns
Author: Beth Revis
Year Published: 2012
Synopsis: Godspeed was fueled by lies. Now it is ruled by chaos.
It's been three months since Amy was unplugged. The life she always knew is over. And everywhere she looks, she sees the walls of the spaceship Godspeed. But there may just be hope: Elder has assumed leadership of the ship. He's finally free to enact his vision - no more Phydus, no more lies.
But when Elder discovers shocking news about the ship, he and Amy race to discover the truth behind life on Godspeed. They must work together to unlock a puzzle that was set in motion hundreds of years earlier, unable to fight the romance that's growing between them and the chaos that threatens to tear them apart.
Why?: Paul and I both read Across the Universe, the prequel to this book, a while ago as one of his monthly picks. We both really enjoyed it, and have been looking forward to the sequel ever since. Paul finally got it, so now I get to read it too!
Expectations: I expect quite a bit from this novel. I expect to find out more about Amy, Elder, and Godspeed, and I hope that some of their problems introduced in Across the Universe are dealt with and solved. i also expect other issues to arise, and I hope they're just as intriguing as the previous ones.
Judging a book by its cover: The cover has what seems to be Amy and elder looking out of Godspeed at the endlessness of the universe. And the stars. I assume that means they finally get to see all of the stars and are drifting through space trying to find their way to the planet.
